The college of Natural Resource Management, Bardibas, Mahotttari had organized the first Graduate Seminar 2025 on the theme ‘Entrepreneurial Experience through Agriculture-based Education’. The main motives of this seminar were to publicize the results of the research conducted by the students under the six-month long internship program in various districts of Madhesh province with the support of the prime minister’s Agriculture Modernization.
The program was chaired by the principal of the college, Abhishek Shrestha, while the chief guest was Prof. Director of the Directorate of Research and Extension of the University of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Rishi Ram Kattel. Dr. Kattel expressed his point of view on adding value chain in Nepal’s agriculture sector, the current agricultural situation and its potential for improvement, emphasizing that the university should play a leading role in the development of the agricultural sector through education, research and extension.
Abhishek Shrestha, the chairman of the program, announced that by continuing such programs in future, students’ research will be made more effective and relevant stakeholders will be brought together on the same platform.
More than 80 presenters shared their research ideas and results at the seminar. The seminar played an important role in presenting research results to stakeholders through publications and other means.
