Bagmati Province’s Internal Affairs and Law Minister Gangaanarayan Shrestha said that the government only gives agricultural subsidies to the entire community, not individuals. They want to solve agricultural problems and increase farming in the province.
The minister announced plans to create specific areas for farming and generate jobs. They mentioned designating rice farming areas in Marin Rural Municipality and Hariharapur Gadhi Rural Municipality in Sindhuli and vegetable farming areas in Ghyanglekh Rural Municipality. Based on the feasibility, similar programs will be implemented in other parts of the district.
The government has allocated a budget of 62 billion rupees for the upcoming year. This budget includes 35 billion rupees for investments and 26 billion for regular expenses. The investment budget is lower than before due to various issues.
The minister also mentioned plans to build a modern police station with advanced equipment in Bhiman, Sindhuli. They want it to become a model police station for the whole country. They also plan to build public protest sites in all 13 districts of the province and develop necessary facilities according to the needs.
To create plans based on necessity, the minister said that projects from the 13 districts should be submitted to the Planning Bank. These plans will be stored there, and priority will be given to those that are feasible and needed.
In Sindhuli, the “Information Right Promotion Program” was organized by the Provincial Information Dissemination Committee. The minister emphasized that all offices should appoint capable people as information officers to provide information to the public. Information officers should be prepared to provide information to the public without hesitation.
