IAAS INDIA to conduct Thrilling Conference on Millets: Transforming Food Systems and Climate Resilience

The United Nations General Assembly has declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets (IYM 2023), recognizing the importance of these small-seeded grasses in global agriculture. Millets serve as vital cereal crops and grains for both animal feed and human consumption, with significant cultivation taking place in the semiarid tropics of Asia and Africa. Given their resilience and ability to thrive in dry and high-temperature conditions, millets have become favored crops in these regions.

In light of this designation, IAAS INDIA is organizing a groundbreaking conference on “Millets for “Sustainable Food System and Climate Adaptation.” The event will schedule for the 4th and 5th of July, 2023. This conference explores millet cultivation’s various aspects, contributions to sustainable food systems, and potential role in climate change adaptation.

The conference promises to be an exciting platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration among experts, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders in the agricultural sector. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions, learn about innovative practices, and explore the potential of millets in addressing pressing global challenges.

Interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to register for the conference through the provided registration link: International Conference on Millets – IAAS INDIA.

It is important to note that seats for national delegations are limited, and participants will be selected based on their motivation to join the conference. Registration will follow a “First Come, First Serve Basis.” Once selected, participants will receive an invoice for payment to secure their spot. In case of non-payment, the site will allocate to another participant from the priority list.

IAAS INDIA, in collaboration with national and international partners, aims to make this conference a significant milestone in exploring and promoting millets for a sustainable food system and climate adaptation. By harnessing the potential of millets, we can contribute to a more resilient and environmentally friendly agricultural future.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a transformative event and join the efforts in embracing millets for a better tomorrow.
